Part 1 Simultaneous Interpreting
- The interpreting course is short but fast-paced, with exercises in short-term memory, paraphrasing, sight translation and note taking. The teacher is fond of "surprise" sessions, and the content of the surprise sessions is varied, ranging from drinking coffee to Sino-American relations, all of which may be the subject of a classroom drawing.
Part 2 Applied Psychology
- This is a two-year Master's programme with a wide range of content, divided into three main research areas under the umbrella of the major: Development and Education, Organisation and Society, and Mental Health. In a Masters's programme, there are extensive laboratory resources, including transcranial magnetic stimulation laboratories, near-infrared spectroscopic imaging laboratories, event-related electroencephalography laboratories and eye movement laboratories, which help to enhance the student's overall academic research skills.
- Whichever format you prefer, you'll find the right teacher for you here and learn something new from experienced professors every day.
Part 3 Global Studies
- The most important benefit is that I have improved my problem-solving skills, and I have been able to study a topic repeatedly and work out a possible solution on my own. This ability has been of great benefit to both academic research and work practice. This critical and diverse way of thinking has become even more meaningful, especially after taking the Global Studies course.
